I am the most blessed to be a born a Muslim by the Grace of Allah Taalah. Alhamdulillah. This said, it is pretty unfortunate that our Ummah has been plagued with internal conflicts and hate-speeches in recent times. Let's face it though. I came across this quotable quote in a book that I am reading at the moment titled "Islam & the World" (Page No:8) authored by Abul Hasan Ali Nadwi published by International Islamic Federation of Student's Organization, Kuwait (Year 1977).

"It was not the Muslims that had made Islam great; It was Islam that had made the Muslims great"

Though I am not best qualified to view on this (or at least I think so), the author is pragmatic and boy, he speaks real horse-sense..Ah...As the popular Pakistan Journalist Hassan Nisar puts it "We have been fighting and fighting amongst ourselves for several centuries time immemorial" Or in the words of one of the greatest Islamic scholars Bediuzzaman Said Nursi:

"The Islamic world stands divided before the large areas covered by the uniting countries. While in this state, it is like the soft underbelly and weak point of the world, open to intervention and attack of every sort".

"But unity is not possible through ignorance; unity is the coming together of minds and mingling of ideas."

What we really need to foster at this time are the principles of Brotherhood, unity, love, belief and integration of thoughts.

As Bediuzzaman Said Nursi aptly put its: "We are devotees of love, we do not have time for enmity.

Brothers & Sisters, Inshallah let's meditate upon these points and and strive for the unity of our Ummah and the welfare of mankind :) Assalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
